Dental x-rays, veterinary dentist, Dental cleaning

Just the tip of the iceberg!

Did you know only 1/6 of an Iceberg is visible above water? The same goes for your pets teeth! Only a small part of cats and dogs teeth are above the gum surface, which is why Dental Radiographs (x-rays) are so important!  They help us see the hidden.

Not only are x-rays essential in evaluating dental and periodontal disease, they allow the root and bone anatomy to assessed.  The American Animal Hospital Association now recommends taking  x-rays after every extraction procedure to ensure that the roots of the tooth have been completely removed.

Dental radiographs are recommended for all dental procedures at NVC.
