Meet Dr. Stacey Leiman
DVMDr. Stacey Leiman is the newest Veterinarian joining Northside Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Leiman received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Ethics from Emory University in 2015, followed by her Post Baccalaureate from Columbia University in 2017, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2022. Her areas of professional interest lie in international and domestic volunteer work with veterinary medicine.
Dr. Leiman has loved animals since the day she was born, and jumped into the veterinary field at 16 years old when she began assisting at Northside Veterinary Clinic. She described her passion for this field came from seeing her parents be so fulfilled by their careers. Dr. Leiman loves being able to give back to the community locally and internationally, by keeping her patients as healthy and happy as she can.
Originally from New Rochelle, NY, Dr. Leiman now resides in Brooklyn with her rescue animals, two cats (Phoenix and Artemis) and a dog (Gordi) adopted from her time volunteering in Cozumel, Mexico! When Dr. Leiman is in the office, she enjoys educating her clients on the science and pathology behind everything, as once upon a time she wanted to be a science teacher. Outside of work, she fills her time with reading, yoga, hiking, and continuous volunteer work. Some of her efforts included teaching college age women in Cambodia and Tibetan monks in India!
